The Extraordinary Bodies group are coming to The Place Theatre in Oakengates and they want anyone and everyone to join them in a performance based arts activity.

Extraordinary Bodies is a free circus based project for local people to take part in. It is being run by Cirque Bijou, one of the UKs top theatre/circus companies. They will provide professionally led workshops in dance, voice, theatre and circus skills.

Many of the people who make up the company have a disability of some description. During the three days of workshops we want to explore “what it is to me” through performance based arts.

It doesn’t matter what walk of life you’re from or if you have done anything like it before – adults of all shapes, sizes, age and life experience are welcome to join us.

Taking part in this would be a great opportunity to get out and about, meet new people, make a few friends and learn new skills. So, why not run away to the circus for a few days?

Want to take part? Here is what you need to know.

A session will be taking place for three days from Thursday 24 to Saturday 26 August 10.00-3.00pm .
