We are the midwives who are available in Telford to support you and your health while you are pregnant (or trying for a baby).
Telford and Wrekin council have commissioned midwives to try and help women become the healthiest they can be in pregnancy, which in turn improves the health of their children. This has led to a new Stop Smoking in Pregnancy support service in Telford called Stop for 2 which helps women to stop smoking in pregnancy.
We are launching a new drop in clinic for any ladies who are in the first few weeks of pregnancy or planning a pregnancy – you can now meet a midwife at Southwater One in Telford Town Centre, between 10am and 2pm every Tuesday. You don’t have to book an appointment, just pop down and see us for a friendly chat!
If you are in the first few weeks of finding out you are having a baby, come along and chat to us and we can help you understand whether you are taking the right vitamins, eating the right foods, and in touch with the right teams to make sure your pregnancy will be as healthy and happy as possible.
If you are thinking about pregnancy and want to make sure you know what you can be doing to prepare for this exciting adventure then come along and meet us to see if we are able to help you.
It is completely normal for women with physical or mental health issues to worry about these affecting their pregnancy, or you might be confused about taking vitamins, smoking or your weight. It could be that you had some problems in a previous pregnancy, and you want to chat about the potential for it happening again before you decide on having another baby. We understand – there is so much information out there that it can be really difficult to know what to believe, or even just what you need to do next!
Allow us to help make your pregnancy a healthy, happy one for you and your family. Come and drop in to see us, take a weight off your feet and get some help that you know you can trust. We can’t wait to meet you!
