Stay at home residents use rainbows to bring colour to Telford and Wrekin

People in Telford and Wrekin have created rainbow designs to inspire people to stay at home during the Coronavirus outbreak.

People all over the UK are following government advice to stay at home. Many have also been creating beautiful rainbow pictures to share some colour and positivity in a time where everything is frankly quite grey.

Telford & Wrekin residents have been no different with many residents placing the creations in windows for passers by to see.

Some have also posted their creations to friends and family who are self-isolating during this difficult time to brighten their day. We were sent over 50 different rainbow deisigns made by people stay at home – take a look to see how all their hard work turned out.

It’s important for everyone to help spread the message that we all need to stay at home as much as we can to reduce the spread of Coronavirus.

Remember you should only leave the house for 1 of 4 reasons:

  • To shop shop for basic necessities, for example food and medicine, which must be as infrequent as possible
  • To exercise once a day – alone or with members of your household
  • For any medical need, or to provide care or to help a vulnerable person
  • To travel to and from work, but only where this absolutely cannot be done from home

At the moment this is all a novelty but tasks like creating things locally will become more important as the weeks go on and to keep people’s spirits up, to feel less isolated and involved in something outside of our own four walls.

What have you been doing with your family?
