All new Move to Thrive

Background

The Move to Thrive project was targeted towards people with dementia and their carers.

It was designed and was delivered from June 2025 until June 2026 in partnership with Telford & Wrekin Council Public Health and Adult Social Care teams, Community Resource, Age UK STW and The Alzheimer’s Society.

It was funded by a grant from The National Lottery Community Fund, following consultation with a host of partner and stakeholder organisations who supported the development and design of the project.

The project included group movement to music sessions, a support worker service for those needing additional support, an ‘at home’ offer, special provision for people with young onset dementia, a volunteer scheme, and an array of training sessions and workshops.

The ‘All new Move to Thrive’ is a legacy of the original Move to Thrive project.
