Working together to support healthier communities in Telford and Wrekin

What is a Healthy Telford Partner?
A Healthy Telford Partner is an organisation, group or network of people who want to play an active role in improving the health and wellbeing of the people they support, influence or work with in Telford and Wrekin.
Healthy Telford Partners can include:
- Work settings and teams
- Community and voluntary organisations
- Schools and education settings
- Charities and resident groups
- Faith groups
- Care homes and supported living settings
and more!
Whether you support colleagues, residents, pupils, service users, volunteers or community members – you have a role to play in shaping healthier lives and environments!
We want to work alongside partners who are willing to take small, realistic steps that make a big difference over time.
What does it mean to be a Healthy Telford Partner?

Becoming a Healthy Telford partner is simple and flexible. There are no inspections, no pass or fail tests, and no mandatory training. As a Healthy Telford Partner, we ask that you commit to four shared principles.
Our four commitments
As a Healthy Telford Partner, we will:
- Support our community to be the healthiest version of themselves
- Encourage and enable people to be more physically active
- Promote healthier food and drink environments where possible
- Make health and wellbeing a visible priority within our community
(Your “community” will depend on the type of partner you are – this could be colleagues, residents, employees, peers, pupils, service users or neighbours).
What we ask from partners
As part of the partnership, we ask that you:
- Take part in initiatives or actions that support the four commitments (at a level that is realistic and relevant for you)
- Promote Healthy Telford messages and campaigns within your setting
