Move to Thrive training courses

Move to Thrive training for physical activity providers
In September and October 2025 Kiddleydivey offered free online training to support physical activity providers in working more effectively with people living with dementia and their carers.
Move to Thrive skills workshop for carers
In October 2025 Fit4All delivered free, in-person training for carers. The workshop focussed on practical exercises they could use with the older people and individuals with dementia they support. It also covered falls awareness and causes, techniques for safely getting up from the floor, and guidance on promoting safe, basic movement.
Training for staff and volunteers who work with people living with dementia and their carer
Do you work with people with dementia and their carers, either as a member of staff, a health professional, a support worker or volunteer?
If so you can access some FREE training to support your existing skills and knowledge working with people with dementia and their carers. The training is for all people working or volunteering in the health, caring, voluntary, community, public or commercial sectors.
The training will cover the importance of physical activity for people with dementia and their carers, and how to have sensitive yet meaningful conversations about it, to give participants the language and confidence needed to have these discussions. The session will also include data, patient stories, and a recap of skills on framing conversations such as motivational interviewing.
After the training you will receive a free attendance certificate for your re-accreditation or CPD requirements.
This free online session will last approximately 1½ hours:
Saturday 28 February 2026, 12noon to 1:30pm
