We are looking to create a demonstration house to showcase a range of gadgets and assistive technologies for anyone who has mobility issues, dementia or a disability.

Stair Lift
There is more to Assitive Technology than a stair lifts

But before we do that we want to collect a range of views from people who might benefit from the “Smart House.”

When the Smart House opens February 2019 people visiting will be able to see how easily certain gadgets can help to keep people safe and independent in their own homes.

People visiting the house will also be available to find information and advice on:

  • staying healthy,
  • benefits,
  • direct payments,
  • how to employ a personal assistant,
  • support for those who feel isolation and loneliness,
  • and on-site Occupational Therapy assessments.

We could all benefit from having this facility in Telford and the feedback we collect will help us to begin the process of creating the Smart House.

For example, where do you think the Smart House should be located within Telford & Wrekin?

So please complete the survey and share it with people who you think might be interested.

The deadline for completing the survey is 31 July 2018.
