Netball England are bringing a mixed workplace league to Telford and is open to anyone looking to get fit, brush up on team working skills and have some fun.

Netball is a great social sport. One where you can typically burn around 450 calories per session. It’s also a great way to strengthen friendships, support team building and to improve muscle tone.

Squads of ten usually play in such leagues. This works out at just £10 per player for six weeks of matches which is great value and it doesn’t really matter if you have never played either.

There will be plenty of people on hand to go over the rules and if you’d like a bit of pre-match training you can pop along to the Back to Netball session 6-7pm beforehand to get you started. You just need a pair of trainers.

How to take part

The league will be played in Dawley at the Phoenix Sports and Leisure Centre (Langley School) between 7-9pm and teams are mixed.

Match nights will be Mondays from June 3 through to July 8 with a trophy awarded to the winning team.

Places are limited and the closing date for league entry is Tuesday, 21 May, so purchase tickets today.
